Point-in-Time Homeless Count - Hygiene Kits:
The City of Long Beach has invited Bethany Lutheran Church to partner with them in preparation for the 2024 Point-in-Time Homeless Count, happening on January 25, 2024, by putting together hygiene kits for those struggling with homelessness in our City.
We are asking our members to help us by assembling hygiene kits to be distributed to those struggling with homelessness as they are encountered in the Point-in-Time Homeless Count. Bethany Church will be collecting completed hygiene kits from January 7 to January 21 in the Narthex. We will then be delivering the hygiene kits to the City of Long Beach on Monday, January 22.
What is a hygiene kit? A hygiene kit is a gallon sized bag that contains items such as travel-sized products (deodorant, toothbrush, toothpaste, hand sanitizer, face wash, lotion, floss, mouth wash, cotton swabs, Chapstick, lotion, shampoo and conditioner); menstrual products; sunscreen; tissues; soap; and socks and underwear (new). Feel free to assemble more than one!
